Fall Ball

About Fall Ball

Fall Ball is a more laid-back atmosphere where we focus on the fundamentals of the game and preparing players for the division that they will play in next spring. Players sign up for the division they will be joining next spring according to their age bracket.

The following divisions are offered during the Fall:

Shetland Baseball only: 4-6 year olds

Pinto Baseball & Fastpitch: 7-8 years old

Mustang Baseball & Fastpitch: 9-10 years old

Bronco Baseball & Fastpitch: 11-12 years old

Pony Baseball & Fastpitch: 13-14 years old

What to Expect

Hat and jersey will be provided.
Practices twice per week.
Games on Saturdays (possibly doubleheaders) and occasionally on Fridays.
Due to the small number of teams in the fall, some Saturday games may be inter-league.

Division Overviews

Shetland (ages 4-6):

an excellent opportunity to teach basic catching, throwing, batting and fielding, and a love of the game of baseball without making the experience a course of intensified instruction.
- Primarily play Monday, Wednesday and Saturday with an occasional Friday

Pinto (ages 7-8):

Teaches the basic fundamentals of baseball. Coach pitched with introduction to player pitch in second half of the season.
- Primarily play Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with an occasional Friday.
- *May participate in Interleague Play*

Mustang (ages 9-10):

Begins the players training in the complete game of baseball. Players pitch with introduction to leading off and stealing on 60-foot base paths.
- Primarily play Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday with an occasional Friday.

Bronco (ages 11-12):

Takes the developing young player into the full game of baseball on 70-foot base paths. Competitive regular season.
- Primarily play Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with an occasional Friday.

Pony (ages 13-14):

Teaches the advanced skills of baseball on 80-foot base paths
- Primarily play Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday with an occasional Friday.
